...Instrument Malfunction
So, last night around midnight or midnight-thirtyish...I somehow managed to rip up a portion of my instrument's circuit board, irreparably damaging my instrument. I spent the next 30 minutes pretty much moping around and being sad, but then I went back to practicing percussion.
Before last night's mishap, however, I was quite happy with my instrument, having de-soldered, drilled, and re-soldered (and color coded) every single wire point on my board, along with adding a number of nifty switches, LEDs, and an input jack for amplification.
I suppose it will be easier the second time around, so I can't say all those hours of toiling/tinkering away at my device were in vain; but it's still hard to part with something I've put so much time into.
On the bright side...PVC showed a TEDtalk in class today. I watch those all the time, so it's good to know someone else enjoys learning stuff from a series of 17-18 minute lectures too.
